The "holiday" of Valentine's Day has consistently been one of the busiest days that florists have. This is due mostly to the amount of advertising and hounding of customers during this time of the year. It has been been said, for a very long time, that the perfect gift on Valentine's Day is a dozen red roses - which will prove your love to the one you are currently with. I don't want to make this a big thing about why its all baloney, but I would like to know where people think the best spot in Indianapolis is for really beautiful - but reasonably priced flowers.
I guess my thing is I don't want to go to a place that is way overpriced. We are talking about something that is grown to be cut, and then dies a week later for crying out loud. I can't go in the stores because I have made that mistake before - if you ask the price of everything they will give you the eye like "you cheap son of a gun", and that's not really my thing either.
So I am asking all of you out there in cyberspace, "where is a great place with beautiful flowers at a reasonable price for Valentine's Day"? Should I even bother going local or are the national companies better? Thanks for your help!
